Padded shorts are good things to have. If you fall, it will not
hurt as much. And, if you don't get to the gym often, it will make your
legs look like they have a lot of muscles. This is a good thing.
Remember though, to get shorts padded in the right place. On the outside
of the thigh is good. A major size bulge right below the beltline (in
either the front or the back)
will make you look very much out of shape, like you are trying to tuck in
an extra 50 pounds of extra flesh. Get the ones with the pads on the
outside of the thighs.
