Helmets

A good helmet makes a world of difference when you are skating. Without a good helmet, your hair will flap wildly in the wind and people will not be able to tell if you are a boy or a girl. In some states, this is not a major concern, but in some states it has been known to cause serious problems.

In addition, if you do not have a helmet on, people will know you are not a cool in-line skater. In fact, you will look like a rank amateur. People will laught at you, and not only behind your back! They will ride right up to you on their bicycles and laugh RIGHT IN YOUR FACE. I've seen it, I was there! I witnessed the Great 1993 Face Laugh performed at Daytona. Right in front of hundreds of people, there it was. There was nothing the poor skater could do but take it. Nowhere to run, no one to turn to. THIS COULD HAPPEN TO YOU! Beware.
