O & P Projects

Students, faculty and a microelectronics design expert are collaborating on pilot studies incorporating embedded sensors for evaluating design efficacy and patient functionality of various prosthetic and orthotic components. Initial support and funding has already been provided by Eastern Michigan University's graduate school and a corporate sponsor.

Companies interested in establishing an applied research agenda using microelectronics should contact the program director, Dr. Doug Briggs at dbriggs@voyager.net.
