Amy and Lisa

Amy Fedel was 8 years old when her family's van was hit by a drunk driver in the summer of 1998. She died of massive head injuries. Her sister Lisa suffered a closed-head injury and was in a coma for two weeks. She has made a wonderful recovery but still experiences seizures as a result of her head injuries. She is in eighth grade now and enjoys writing and playing the violin. More information on the family can be found at http://www.fedel.com/amyandlisa.

The concert is being produced by the Amy and Lisa Fund. The Fund was established with donations from hundreds of people who read about the family's situation and wanted to help them get back on their feet. The first concert was held in 1999 and helped fund the first year of the Amy Fedel Memorial Reading Program as well as generating donations for MADD. Over the last 6 years, the events have raised over $1,500 for MADD and the Brain Injury Association of Michigan.
